Sometimes, making unexpected comparisons can provide fresh perspectives and reveal commonalities that transcend surface differences. This experiment reinforced the value of finding linkages between seemingly disparate domains.
In another prompt, Hypotenuse found a personality such as Niccolo Machiavelli, who was immoral (like Vito Corleone) and an atheist (like Richard Dawkins). Indeed, Vito “Godfather” Corleone is a fictional character, but ideas are not compelled to be grounded in reality.

With proper guidance, feedback, and further training, AIs' propensity to preach could diminish as their knowledge and wisdom grow.
The onus remains for system developers and users to provide context, perspective, and balance when engaging with AI systems. We must view their outputs critically and refine their associations to minimize potential harm. At the same time, AI's ability to make unexpected connections can inspire new ideas and perspectives if harnessed responsibly. We can nurture AI systems with patience and prudence to become valuable tools that augment human capabilities while avoiding the most extreme risks of runaway preaching or harmful associations.
While Hypotenuse's preachiness highlights the limitations of current AI, with proper oversight and refinement, these systems can provide fresh insights that expand your thinking. The key will be developing AI to combine their connectivity and creativity with human wisdom and values.
